WWE and Vince McMahon Have Reportedly Decided on Bringing Indie Wrestling Content to the WWE Network
– On a recent addition of The Wrestling Observer Radio (via WrestlingInc.com), Dave Meltzer reportedly addressed the rumors of WWE possibly airing indie wrestling content on the WWE Network. According to Meltzer, indie wrestling content will eventually be available on the Network, and Vince McMahon decided that he wants the “hot indies” to be shown on the service.
As previously reported, WWE distributed a survey asking viewers about different price tiers, and it also listed both TNA and ROH as potential viewing options.
It’s unknown which promotions WWE is thinking about for potential deals for WWE Network content. However, Meltzer indicated that the upcoming months should be very interesting with the possible changes. Additionally, Meltzer speculated that the WWE could form alliances with other promotions, similar to the deal with WWN Live over the last year.
