WWE Plans to Use The Broken Hardys Gimmick

During last night’s edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer said that WWE’s plan is to use the “Broken Hardys” gimmick. Meltzer said that it’s all up t the negotiators, as WWE will have to make some sort of financial agreement with Anthem for the rights to the gimmick (it may be a one-time payment or an agreement that pays a percentage for years going forward). This is why Matt has been weaving in and out of the accent and still doing nods to the gimmick on TV and live events. WWE feels that the “attitude era Hardys” has a limited shelf life, and that the Broken gimmick has great merchandising potential under WWE.
