Dario Cueto’s 4 A Unique Opportunity Tournament Semifinal Match: Cage vs. The Mack: These two started Ultima Lucha last year in a falls count anywhere match. Dario arrived and reminded us of this, and this match is ALSO a falls count anywhere match! They worked a god opening stretch, fast paced counter wrestling and strikes and then it spilled to the floor. They went back and forth, some weapon use, and Mack for a near fall off of a powerslam onto a trashcan. They brawled into Dario’s office, and the look of pure joy on El Jefe’s face was glorious. Cage took out Mack with a framed picture, glass exploded everywhere, and Cage got a near fall. Cage then just brutalized Mack, tossing him around and powerbombing him through some chairs for another near fall. A stop sign was introduced, with Mack coming back to hit a fall away slam and standing shooting star for a near fall. Mack this nailed Cage with a guitar and danced before getting a near fall. Mack then brought out piñatas! There were WEAPONS inside the piñatas. Mack nailed Cage with a wrench, grabbed some drinks, tried the stunner but Cage escaped and used the stop sign. A busted open Cage grabbed a table but Mack fought back with a chain, whipping Cage. More drinks for Mack, cheers, and the STUNNER connects! Mack puts Cage on the table, and climbs into the bleachers. FROG SPLASH connects! Mack slowly covered, but Cage managed to survive. In shades of last year, Cage grabbed a cinder block; Mack escaped and got a roll up for the anticlimactic victory. That was a wild brawl with a great crowd, highly enjoyable stuff minus the ending, which felt like a let down considering the action prior to it and the stipulation they worked.

Dario Cueto’s 4 A Unique Opportunity Tournament Boyle Heights Bar Fight Semifinal Match: Son of Havoc vs. Texano: Dario appeared and made mention that there was a bar outside of the ring. There is a cowboy and biker, so this is a bar fight! They worked a basic back and forth match for the first minute, Texano got sent to the floor and Havoc then followed with a moonsault. They brawled on the floor, Havoc hit a moonsault off of the announcer’s table and then tossed Texano through a door. Havoc then got a fire extinguisher and helmet, sprayed Texano with the extinguisher but Texano broke a bottle over his head, but Havoc no sold because of the helmet. Texano introduced bar stools into the match, as well as steel chairs. He then got a keg and tossed it in as well. Texano used his bull rope, they teased using the keg that was wedged in the corner, and havoc slammed him into it. Havoc piled up broken bar stools and hit a RANA off the ropes, sending Texano onto the pile, and that got a near fall. After some back and forth, Texano slammed a chair into Havoc’s balls. They then battled onto the apron, and Texano was backdropped onto the bar, which basically exploded. Havoc then broke a bunch of bottles in a box, and then double stomped Texano into the glass, and picked up the win. This was another fun match, but lacked the intensity and pacing of the opener. The best part of this is watching El Jefe make these stipulations simply for his enjoyment.

Dario Cueto’s 4 A Unique Opportunity Tournament Final Falls Count Anywhere Match: The Mack vs. Son of Havoc: El Jefe arrives once again, he is impressed, and his unique opportunity is so awesome, that he makes the finals a Falls Count Anywhere match. Havoc and Mack shake hands before the violence begins. Mack hit a pounce early and then hit a spiral tap off the top for a near fall. The action then went right to the floor, where Havoc tried to fight back, and did so with chops and then slammed Mack to the bleachers. They worked back into the ring, selling the fact that they are both beaten down due to the previous matches, which was appreciated. After some back and forth, Mack got dumped to the floor and Havoc hit a Sasuke special. Back in, Havoc went for the shooting star press, but the Mack got up the knees and then cradled Havoc for a near fall. They continued to trade strikes and picked up the action and pacing well, Havoc then went up top and hit the shooting star press, and picked p the win. That felt very anticlimactic, like they were just really building into the homestretch, but then just stopped. Yu could say that they were playing into the fact that they were both tired, which is fine, but the ending felt very flat to me. It was pretty good, but felt a bit disappointing.
Son of Havoc finishes off The Mack and earned himself Dario's “Unique Opportunity!" #LuchaUnderground #UltimaLucha pic.twitter.com/307k3HRRzz

– Dario and Black Lotus are out to discuss the “Unique Opportunity” that Havoc won. He had two briefcases, and congratulated Havoc on his victory. One briefcase has more cash than Havoc will ever make, $250,000. He can take that, or he can take case #2, which contains a contact for a Lucha Underground Title match at Ultima Lucha Tres! Havoc doesn’t care if Dario has $250 million, he is taking the title shot! Havoc celebrates with the case, but Dario says as long as he wins… ONE MORE MATCH! He offers the cash to the next opponent, if the opponent wins he gets the money, if Havoc wins he keeps his title shot.
– Famous B arrived, and says he has a new client. The opponent is Dr. Wagner Jr.
Son of Havoc vs. Dr. Wagner Jr. w/Famous B and Brenda: Wagner attacked right away, working over the beaten and tired Havoc. Wagner controlled with ease as Famous B demanded he continue to work him over. Havoc fought back with a high cross and clotheslines, hit the back hand spring elbow and then a bicycle kick. Havoc went up top, but crashed and burned on the shooting star press. Dr. Driver on Havoc, and Dr. Wagner Jr. wins. Completely fine for the time given, and the exact angle we have come to expect fro, El Jefe; he gives the chance at the opportunity, gets his enjoyment and screws over the fan favorite. Dr. Wagner Jr. walks with $250,000 and the hate of the believers, while Havoc put up a good fight.
* End scene.
* Thanks for reading.
