CM Punk, Sting & More Appear at New York Comic Con
– PWInsider reports that Sting and CM Punk both made unnanounced appearances as New York Comic Con on Friday. Punk was the moderater for Marvel Comics’ panel on the tenty-fifth anniversary of the Infinity Gauntlet series, where he reportedly got a very positive reaction. Punk spooke with Jim Starlin about the series, which helped put Thanos on the map in the comics continuity. He also noted that his co-written series Drax would end after its eleventh issue due to the readership.
Sting’s appearance at the convention was also unadvertised, and the site says he did promotional filming for theWWE/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles action figures. Ric Flair and Jerry Lawler were at the booth for Headlocked as previously advertised, with Lawler, Mick Foley and Noelle Foley all appearing tomorrow.
