Chris Hyatte (And Another Thing) Well, I'm a hardcore Hyatte Fan. I've got to say that this is really a
special thing to read each week. You see the opinions under the Sarcasm and
witty repartee, and it makes you think. Hyatte came in earlier this year
from Scoopthis.com, which is now sadly defunct, but exploded here at 411.
Best 411 TV Recapper
Jack's Pick:
Chris Hyatte (WWF Raw Mop Up, WCW Nitro Mop Up)
Again, Hyatte wins this because it's what he was brought here for. The
Mop-up is something that every week, stays different, but is constantly
hilarious. The way his writing works, coinciding with his obscure
pop-culture references.
Best 411 Webmaster
Jack's Pick:
Ashish
Simply enough, He gave me the job.
Best 411 Forumer
Jack's Pick:
Stanley*Kubrick
I had to do some research on this topic since I was a big forumer, back in
the day (last year), but now I'm more of a writer. As this guy should take
a writing job here. If not here, then somewhere else. He's very
interesting, so read up on your *kubrick.
Worst Wrestler Turn
Jack's Pick:
Goldberg Turns Heel (WCW)
Come on, like I was going to pick something else. Really, the Goldberg
persona was getting stale. This spoiled it forever. If Russo hadn't been
taken out the first time, then hey, things would have been all right. It
would be near 4.5's right now, and there may not be a wrestling decline…If
there is one right now.
Best Catchphrase
Jack's Pick:
It's true, it's true (Kurt Angle)
This guy oozes charisma. I love it, he's the best heel, but He shouldn't
be champion, But that's off the subject. He is so good on the stick, the
"it's true, it's true" thing just basically sums up his whole heelness.
Totally!
Biggest Backstage Baby
Jack's Pick:
I refuse to comment on this because a, I don't know what it's like to be
back there, so I have no grounds to speak. I don't wrestle or even know
them, so who am I to say who is an
@$$#olE or not.
Hottest Wrestling Babe
Jack's Pick:
Trish Stratus (WWF)
Yeah man. This fitness guru, was the queen of hot in the double 0. She
did the most for test and Albert ever, and now the program with Vince?
Excellent, although, She not just getting this spot for her acting ability.
Most Annoying Wrestler(s)
Jack's Pick:
Lex Luger (WCW)
He is not that entertaining. In the WWF, he was probably great, but not
now. I would rather watch a Hogan match than a Luger match, and though
that's not saying a lot, I just don't like him.
Most Embarrassing Moment of the Year
Jack's Pick:
WWF brings HHH back 2 weeks after murdering him
Ok, you are in your early years, you are the best body in the WWF, possibly
the world, and you get dropped 30 feet, on your head, in a car, onto a
blacktop. YOU DIE! YOU FRIGGIN' DIE! I don't care how they do it, but they
better explain. Tibetan yogis? Super glue? SKELE GRO? (Some of you may not
get that). That in my opinion is just shit.
Most Disappointing Wrestler of the Year
Jack's Pick:
Scott Hall
People, if this man has big problems, why do you bring him into a major
angle? That isn't bad, that isn't crappy, that's just insane! He needs
home time, and personal time. Send him to Steve Regal, get him some one on
one help, He's is one of my faves so I actually do care for his well being.
Most Insane Wrestler of the Year
Jack's Pick:
Scott Hall
Mainly, for agreeing with above.
Most Hyped News Story To End Up Being False
The internet is brimming with news, some of it real, a bulk of it fake.
Which of these non-stories of 2000 was the biggest?
WWF to buy WCW
Most everyone believed the possibilities of this would change wrestling,
but I doubt everyone bought this. I doubt that 1/3 of the people bought
into this. Even though the above being said, This was catching on like a
house on fire
Most Heated Feud
Jack's Pick:
HHH vs. Mick Foley
This was easily the best one since the feud ended Foley's career. We saw
the HITC match, which was a testament in itself to both men's attitudes, and
work ethic.
Worst Feud
Jack's Pick:
Kane vs. Chris Jericho
Basically they all sucked, I just picked the one that sucked most. And
this one scraped the bowels of suckitude!
Best Celebrity
Jack's Pick:
No celebrities in wrestling are good.
Worst Celebrity
Jack's Pick:
Ice T (WWF)
It was so bad, I don't remember it. You know this still wasn't as Bad as
Robert Wuhl, in w(w. "wow, Arliss! You know arliss, you are a sports
super-agent!" My god, gag me with a steam shovel!
Best Game
Jack's Pick:
WWF No Mercy (N64)
The smackdown mall feature is excellent, but you shouldn't buy a HO AS THE
TOP FEATURE! They should make it like this: Shawn Michaels
Is in the beginning roster, not in the mall. Ok, game play is excellent,
and the engine is lots better then the old attitude one.
Wrestler Most Likely To Be A Nobody By The End of 2001
Jack's Pick:
Lex Luger
Three words: Randy Savage Syndrome.
Wrestler Most Likely To Be A Somebody By The End of 2001
Jack's Pick:
Mike Sanders
This guy has "it". The thing that nobody knows what "it" is, you've seen
them, the head cheerleader, the Student body president, and the people who
excel in speech writing, and in debate. And the head cheerleader, but hey,
he speaks like a pro, his facial expressions are priceless, and think If he
improves his game he might tie flair's place as best heel ever. Who can
tell, let's wait it out and see.
Who'd A Thunk It
Jack's Pick:
Booker T's push to the moon
Finally the man gets some action in the ring. Jarrett was a willing player,
So was Steiner, but they should have had Sting in there with him. When he
comes back, they shouldn't have them all come back on one day, (i.e. last
February where they brought back hall and a lot of other people) He should
be brought back in a timely manner though, after he heals COMPLETELY!
Best Swerve
Jack's Pick:
Rikishi is the one who ran over Austin
I was watching raw, live everyone else in the world, when it was
Rikishi/rock Vs like angle/HHH or something. Then at the end of the match
He admits it. "I deed eet" Wow, now if there was ever an award for most
anti-climactic, this would go to it. But I picked it for one reason.
Nobody saw it coming. That's right do not say that yo even pictured him,
because you didn't, it swerved the internet, and most everyone in the world.
Favorite Show to Preempt a Wrestling Show
Jack's Pick:
Nuremburg (WCW)
I'm sorry, I just love ww2 movies. This one wasn't bad, but at the same
time, I kind of missed Nitro. Heh, heh, ha ha ha.
Overrated Wrestler
Jack's Pick:
Sting
As far as I can tell, He's Lost his heart, and replaced it with a holier
than thou attitude. He thought Vampiro was stealing his gimmick and his
gimmick, which was being retooled, HE made stay the same, not the creative
team.
